What is your company’s expectation?

I am a property field inspector for a semi-big insurance company and they require that we make or attempt to make first contact with an insured within 4 hours of having the claim assigned to you. I can do it when it’s slower but when we get super busy I can never manage that expectation. I’ll be on roofs doing an inspections back to back then look and see I already missed the 4 hour window for a claim I got earlier that day. It’s madness and my management are going to write me up soon for it.

Now I am curious, what do other carriers have for a timeframe for first contact after being assigned to you?
