7/1 podcast recap 3 of 3

  1. These two do not live in the real world! Their advice for people who are looking to move is as follows:
-get an AirBnB for 2 weeks to truly “live” in the city
-rent a car while there to get a feel

Are you insane? Who has the time / resources to do that?

  1. Nanny share started because their sitter cancelled when they wanted to go to a FOOTBALL GAME when 🥔 was 4 WEEKS OLD! Neighbors offered to watch 🥔.

-what parent PLANS to LEAVE their 4 WEEK old baby with a random sitter for a FOOTBALL GAME?

  1. Nanny share is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of!
-Harrison wanted to have quarterly check-ins with Maria (the nanny) to discuss curriculum! They are BABIES!!!

  2. They want another child close in age to 🥔 and🪨, but want a large age gap between the 3rd kid and the 4th kid.

  3. Never mentioned the IVF plan, and didn’t tell the pediatrician / OBGYN story

  4. 1st date was amazing and woke up the next morning to go to coffee together, then walked to Fug hotel so he could change.

  5. Their “story” about getting pregnant is getting more stupid the more times they tell it!

  6. Alex fell hard for Fug because he had 3 months of “fun” Alex before she was knocked on her ass with pregnancy symptoms, and he TOOK AMAZING care of her being bed bound.

  7. Too busy with “work” to plan a real wedding but wanted everyone to have same last name.

7/1 podcast recap part 2

I’m just about 55 minutes in, I can’t stomach listening for more than 25 minutes at a time

  1. Harrison didn’t want to be in investment banking for the rest of his life, so he lived frugally, so he could eventually quit
  2. When a “mentor” of his reached out because his company email bounced back, the mentor offered him a job. His job was to search for companies to offer them venture capital.
  3. Does this mean he wasn’t unemployed for long? Cuz I’d love for my 9-5 to cover my life expenses while I searched to become an entrepreneur.
  4. Whenever I hear the word entrepreneur, I think of the line in the first Magic Mike movie when the girl says to Channing Tatum, “So you’re a entrepreneur/stripper or stripper/entrepreneur”
  5. A mutual friend set them up in a group text.
  6. Alex bailed on their first date, but after “shadow tagging” H on Instagram, he deemed her “having done enough work” that he would plan another date.

These people make me want to stay single for the rest of my life!

7/1 podcast I have a long drive, so I decided to listen.

I’m only 29 minutes in and I want to stab my eardrums

  1. I truly can’t stand his voice
  2. Alex said she and G knew they both wanted to have children, but she’s proud she didn’t have them with him because he wasn’t her person. Having kids with Harrison is AMAZING because they are so truly in love!
  3. Being in a beach town during Covid was “amazing” (yes, during a worldwide pandemic, I’m so glad you were able to enjoy the weather)
  4. Her first boss use to park illegally because she would be angry there was no front row parking! (Alex thinks this is AMAZING)
  5. She’s proud of how tough she is for coming through her divorce and learning how to take care of herself.
  6. At the end of Alex’s portion, Harrison tells her what an AMAZING storyteller she is. He was captivated the whole time, even though he’s heard the stories before.
  7. Harrison is the most boring storyteller ever, how can he make working and living in Asia boring
