Hi everyone. I recently joined this reddit community and this is my first post here :)

I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in January of 2020 (yes, right before covid lol), and I have been trying different Insulin pumps to find one i love.

I first started with the Tandem Tslimx2 which worked really well. After 3 years of that, I was agitated with the cord attached to my stomach. I decided to go cordless, choosing the Omnipod. It has truly been a game changer especially with how active I am. HOWEVER, I have been getting very frustrated with Omnipod because I have been consistently having leaks with them for the past 6 months or so. I am counting the exact carbs for my meals, but I still spike for hours after. I then swipe my finger across my Omnipod, and oh what's that? Its wet and smells like insulin. The pod lasts 3 days and this leak keeps happening on day 1 or 2 so I am not even getting the full use of the insulin pump. I inject it always on the backs of my arms, switching arms with each pump insertion.

I am looking to make a pivot if this contues to be an issue, but I truly love the freedom Omnipod has brought to my life. If anyone has advice to get this leakage to not happen, please send my way :).

In case I need to pivot away from Omnipod, are there any recommendations for other cordless insulin pumps?

Thanks!

EDIT: I am based in the US
