Hello! I’m currently a sophomore Medical Biology student and I’m thinking if I should pursue Microbiology instead of med school 😆 I’m planning to get a masters and a laboratory job after I graduate, take the certification for ph and ascp, do some research, and maybe move in Canada or Australia. I know it’s not an easy path to take and I’m naive as hell right now.
I want to know if how many units of Microbiology do I need to get the test (both for PAM and ASCP). What kind of jobs could I get (aftergrad) if I want to be in clinical microbiology or medical microbiology. Are there internships I could get as a student in a lab? What are the things I should know about this career? If you guys have any insights can you please help me out or share your thoughts. I’m planning my life right now and I’m lost 😆
