Sony WM-F2065 Factory Defect Repairable?

Purchased my first Walkman: a Sony WM-F2065 that was listed as having a functioning radio but played no tapes. Not surprisingly the pulley was the issue and changed it no problem. Although after fidgeting with the radio I realized it may be factory defective. From what I can tell whoever assembled it accidently inserted the gears for the radio wrong. The station needle only goes half way through to 96 FM and to top it off the stations it plays are the stations AFTER 96 FM. Might this be as repairable as the pulley? Doubt it since it seems like there’s some glued and soldered components that’d probably have to be re done. If that’s the case it’s not worth the hassle plus it doesn’t really bother me, but figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask. Luckily the good stations in my area are 96 FM & above.

Sony DCR-HC32 Analog Signal Conversion Issue

EDIT: As ConsumerDV pointed out, the pin out on the 3.5mm to Female RCA is wrong. The Panasonic Camcorder came with its own 3.5mm to Male RCA which I needed a way to connect to the Sony RCA Male to proprietary A/V. I ended up purchasing an RCA Female to Female coupling and was able to get the signal to the DCR-HC32 with no issue.

I recently acquired a Sony DCR-HC32 to use for recording as well as for the Analog Signal Conversion. Camera works great apart from the “lens not open” error which seems to be common with them and the battery holding no more charge. Can record, playback, and upload miniDV footage to my Mac no issue (although it looks like I may have to clean the heads)

My only issue is that despite following the manual I’m unable to see the image from my analog VHS-C camera on the Sony camera. Sound goes through but no image on the LCD. My Mac doesn’t even seem to get the audio at all and when I try to record on iMovie it’s just a gray screen.

Is there any fix for this? Presumably seems to be the camera itself. Is this function explicitly for an actual VCR and not an analog camcorder?

My set up is Panasonic PV-L751D -> 3.5mm to RCA Cable -> Sony supplied RCA cable to proprietary? A/V cable plug -> DCR-HC32 on Handycam Station -> FireWire & Adaptors -> 2009 Mac running 2011 iMovie
