He was born between an Iranian father and a Korean mother.
In the era of Fereydun’s birth, Iran was ruled by the wicked Zahhak. Forced labor, endless wars, merciless exploitation, and the sadistic whims of the Serpent King drove the people of Iran to desperately pray for a savior.
Hearing their pleas, the omnipotent Ahura Mazda chose Fereydun as the blade that would punish Zahhak.
A colossal blessing, great enough to oppose Zahhak—the apostle of Ahriman descended upon a single boy.
Thus was born the fortunate child beloved by the gods: Fereydun.
Yet despite that title, his life was one long tragedy.
He lost his parents at a young age.
Then his adoptive parents.
Then his family, his friends, his beloveds, everyone precious to him.
Fearing the child destined to kill him, Zahhak relentlessly hunted him down.
All because of those cursed blessings.
His childhood was defined by loss.
With every precious life taken from him, Fereydun’s mind wore away a little further.
Eventually, his hatred for Zahhak surpassed even his fear.
And so, the prophesied child destined to liberate all Iran from the rule of the Serpent King finally awakened.
The child searching for his mother died.
In his place, a warrior was born.
What followed was a grand journey.
There was rage.
There was justice.
There was friendship.
There was love.
By Fereydun’s advance, Zahhak’s tyranny crumbled like a sandcastle.
At last, wielding the sacred mace Gavsār, he crushed Zahhak and ascended as the king of Iran, restoring his wounded homeland.
Thus he became the king who ruled the world itself.
And in his later years, the great king who cast aside his own crown and divided the world into three.
The king of decrees who closed the Age of Gods and ushered in the Age of Heroes.
…Or at least, he should have been.
Yet after being summoned, this boy behaves strangely childish.
The great hero runs around like an overexcited beagle, poking his nose into everything.
“I spent my whole life saving the world.
This time, I just want to live like a normal human.”
Like a Japanese high schooler reincarnated into another world, he wanders across modern Korea with boundless excitement.
Going to middle school.
Falling in love.
Playing Minecraft.
Eating cheap junk food.
Perhaps those simple things were the happiness he truly desired.
[Unique skills]
ㆍPseudo-Divinity — Thraetaona B → D
The mark of a sacred king who carries within himself the ancient Iranian concept of kingship: Khvarenah.
Though Fereydun was not born of divine blood, he was chosen by the gods, and thus attained a spiritual status approaching that of a demigod.
His feat of subjugating the dragon Aži Dahāka partially separated his existence from the realm of humanity.
The “King Fereydun” of old had long abandoned his humanity and become a collection of blessings given form.
But this Fereydun has yet to discard his human heart.
ㆍKhvarenah EX
(Charisma A+ / Battle Continuation B+ / Dragon-Slayer A+ / Magic Resistance B / Divinity B)
The sacred radiance granted only to kings chosen by Ahura Mazda.
Khvarenah is not merely a blessing, but a transcendent principle itself.
Those who possess it attain a form of heroism beyond humanity.
Through this radiance, Thraetaona subdued the dragon Aži Dahāka, gaining immense resistance against evil beings alongside extraordinary vitality.
His charisma, capable of subjugating the masses, as well as his resistance against curses and demonic corruption, are all born from this divine glory.
Khvarenah is already inseparable from Fereydun’s existence itself.
Without it, he cannot survive.
And yet
Should the moment come when he must cast it away, he is permitted a single miracle in exchange for abandoning his kingship, honor, and life itself.
That miracle is:
The Khvarenah — The Horizon-Sundering Sword
A recreation of the primordial blade that stirred the oceans at the dawn of creation.
ㆍKing of Heavenly Chains
The embodiment of the legend in which he bound the dragon Aži Dahāka.
Possesses overwhelming restraining power against beings possessing the attributes of evil, dragons, or chaos, severely weakening regeneration, immortality, and berserk-type abilities.
In particular, it grants absolute superiority against foreign impurities that should not exist within this world.
ㆍGolden Royal Blood B
A unique skill born from the legend that traces his lineage to the royal bloodlines of Silla.
As the royal myths of the Korean peninsula fused with Khvarenah, Fereydun’s soul gained a powerful affinity with the lands of the East.
As a result, Fereydun receives fame bonuses throughout Korea and the broader Sinosphere comparable to those he would receive within the Persian cultural sphere.
[Relationships]
ㆍGilgamesh
The two refer to each other as “the Sumerian” and “the Elamite.”
Gilgamesh holds little interest in Fereydun, viewing him merely as another child raised as a slave to the gods.
Likewise, Fereydun does not think highly of Gilgamesh, whose morality is difficult to define.
And yet
Perhaps the young Fereydun, before age and suffering hardened him, could have become good friends with the young Gilgamesh.
ㆍKaveh
A friend of the soul.
ㆍArash
By Arash’s era, Fereydun was already a legendary hero of ancient times, and thus receives Arash’s deep respect.
However, because the Iran–Turan conflicts that eventually led to Arash’s death began with Fereydun’s own era, Fereydun harbors a lingering sense of guilt toward him.
ㆍThe Heroes of the Shahnameh
They share mutual respect.
ㆍKim Dalsun
Master. Classmate. Friend. The girl he likes.
Because the summoned Fereydun appears at the same age as Dalsun—fifteen—they quickly grew close.
For Fereydun, who spent his youth amidst endless bloodshed and never truly had childhood companions, Dalsun became someone special.
Like his first love long ago, her existence will remain within the Throne of Heroes as one of his sweetest memories.
