If you are paying rent based on your income, you are likely being OVERCHARGED every single week!As of the updated Housing Policy (March 2026), CHILD BENEFIT and CHILD MAINTENANCE are officially DISREGARDED as income. This means the Council is legally NOT allowed to count that money when they calculate your weekly rent.Check your rent books!
