Exams not finding anything
I have been dealing with pain during every bowel movement for 2 and a half years now. I had one night of diarrhea that had me in the bathroom every hour. Followed by a bowel movement the next day that was so thick and solid I felt a tear and saw lots of blood. Since the blood stopped the next bowel movement I thought it would heal on its own like a cut. I was wrong.
I still see tiny bits of blood every now and then. And still feel pain every day. I had a colonoscopy a few weeks after the injury and they didn't see anything. After spending some time treating other medical issues I revisited the case with an external hemorrhoid exam that also found nothing. I'm now scheduled for a spiral enteroscopy. Based on my symptoms, how else can I convince them that something is wrong when they can't find anything? Do I go to a different practice or ER? Would they just repeat the same procedures?
