Pixel 11 5G Signal Dropping to 1-Bar LTE After Google Play System Update
Hey everyone,
I am facing a frustrating network issue on my brand-new Pixel 11 immediately following a Google Play system update today, and I wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this or if anyone has technical clarity on what actually happens under the hood.
The Situation:
• Before the update: I was getting a solid 3 bars of 5G consistently in my usual location.
• The trigger: I went into my settings, saw a prompt for a Google Play system update, clicked it, and restarted the phone as requested.
• After the update: Instantly, my signal dropped drastically. In places where I used to get normal 5G, the phone now struggles, frequently falling back to a very weak 1-bar LTE connection. While 5G still registers in high-signal areas, the moment I move to a weaker coverage spot, something feels completely off with how the phone handles the network.
My Setup:
• Device: Google Pixel 11
• Carrier: Reliance Jio.
• SIM: Physical SIM card.
