Rapid weight gain + bloating as a result of weaning?
I was briefly (~1 month) on a small dose (10mg/day) on the recommendation of my GP to relieve certain symptoms of menopause. It did not make any difference and the diarrhea was an unacceptable sfx (which she failed to warn me about). Before starting it, I had lost a bit of weight (<8#) do to cutting down on alcohol consumption. Shortly after, I started weaning Lexapro, the weight came roaring back and them some (14#) in about 10 days. I am bloated at the midsection in a way I have never experienced in my life. Has anyone else had this response? Could it self-resolve or do you have advice? I am VERY active, work out / lift weights 5 days/week and am a fitness professional. (I'm open to this not being about the lexapro, but its the only thing I can figure at this point)
