Memory DIMM keeps failing

###Troubleshooting Help:

What is your parts list? Consider formatting your parts list.

TUF x570 with 3800X processor, 32GB of DDR-4 3600Mhz RAM, 3080 TUF non-OC

Describe your problem. List any error messages and symptoms. Be descriptive.

I have had the second DIMM slot fail three times in 5 years. I get approved for RMAs, but obviously the process is a bit annoying, and I have to run at half RAM for 2 months while RMA is in process. Also worried about corruption.

List anything you've done in attempt to diagnose or fix the problem.

Nothing, I just keep RMAing my RAM

I guess I'm just wondering if I should be looking at replacing my MOBO? I dont' know what else to try. Anyone else experienced this and found that it was the fault of the MOBO or am I just unlucky with RAM?

I made an overcontribution earlier this year (intending it for the 2025 year, but I'm over the limit, so it can only count for 2026). I have a matching RRSP at work.. I only have $18,990 in room.

Here's the problem, I make commissions, so it's entirely possible that my match is $20K or something like that. So if they do, I'll have an overcontribution of $1,110, which will mean penalties until I withdraw.

But, I'll get $1,110 in a DPSP - so that's a no-brainer right? Or will my work cap my contribution based on information from the CRA automatically?

And if I do overcontribute, when should I withdraw? At the end of the year when my income/contribution room, etc are known for the year?

Thanks in advance.
