I used to sleuth through this subreddit to find some people to talk to, and honestly, I met both the best and worst people lmao
I'm still friends with some people I met off here, so now that I'm looking for some more people to be social with, why not try again?
As mentioned in the title, I'm primarily looking to surround myself with more writers. I adore literature and I would love to discuss the art form, brainstorm ideas, maybe start a book club and chat about our projects. I am a complete amateur but trying really hard to improve.
So, who am I? Why pick me out of all the other posts?
Other than literature, I'm interested in movies, art, makeup and currently exploring fitness/working out. Above all, I'm chronically online, which means that you can hit me with any niche internet topic and I'll probably know about it.
Honestly, weird internet mysteries are the only thing I'd consider myself an expert in.
When it comes to fiction, I'm partial to fantasy, especially dark fantasy and horror. I'm currently reading Lovecraft, so I'd love to discuss him! I'm a massive fan of Robert Chambers, Edgar Allan Poe, George Orwell and Brandon Sanderson (yes, there's clearly an odd one out but I can't read depressing things ALL THE TIME).
Some books on my bucket list:
Blood Meridian
The Sun Eater
Jade City and many more
Last book I finished that I loved:
The Dungeon Crawler series
I'm currently working two jobs to support myself while also studying, so I am extremely stressed. Like. A lot. Other than that, I'm trying to become a more positive person because the last few years I've noticed I've been turning more cynical (can you blame me with the state of the world?).
Honestly, I'm just a 23 year-old who's looking for someone to share my interests with and maybe even meet up at some point.
I'm not interested in anything beyond platonic interaction.
If this has piqued your interest, then feel free to message me with your favorite book or movie!
Have a wonderful day!
