The past few months I have been having an issue with getting bogus tracking information from sellers for items I've purchased. All sorts of different items, different sellers, and different locations (local, domestic, and international). All will show tracking with number/label that is either just created or hung up at post office of origin. I've reached out to sellers and several have responded with their (bogus) tracking number they originally gave me, saying it shows them it is on its way to the destination. If it were just one or two sellers, I'd write it off as something sketchy, but this is happening with most items I purchase, even from sellers I've bought from i the past with zero issues. I do eventually receive the items ordered, usually later than expected (I usually only check tracking if something hasn't arrived on time). I'm not sure what is going on, but am curious if anybody else has experienced this, or if any sellers have been contacted by buyers with this issue. I don't think it's too much to ask for accurate tracking information.
