Jug tips?

I’ve been a vet tech for about a year and a half and feel like I’ve learned and grown so much in all my skills including surgical monitoring, blood draws, lab work, radiology, dental stuff, etc.

However for the life of me, I just cannot consistently hit a jug. Every time I feel it, sometimes even can visual it, poke right where I’m feeling and… nothing. It’s so freaking frustrating!! I’ve worked with our lead tech so much who’s given me plenty of tips and I’ve watched her poke right where I have and hit it perfectly and I don’t understand!!

Any tips appreciated :)

Lateral dental radiographs?

The GP practice I work at has us take dental radiographs with the patient in lateral. I’m really struggling with mandibular radiographs in lateral position. Especially the molars. Does anyone have any guides/images of how you position the plate and tube head for lateral dental rads? We also use a handheld machine instead of a wall mounted one which makes it even harder. Thank you!

Sutures too loose?

21 female. No medications. Height and weight irrelevant lol.

I went to the ER last night and had a laceration from my leatherman sutured. But this morning, the sutures seem to be lose and the wound is gaping again. Should I go to urgent care and see if they can re-suture it (it’s been 10 hours since the injury)? Or is this fine?

Does this need to be closed again?

Picture 1 is the original injury. Picture 2 is right after it was closed. Picture 3 is this morning.

Can I use the call button?

I’m in the ER for the first time ever with a hand laceration that just needs a few stitches. They put me in my own room in a bed that is all the way propped up. It’s 3am and I know I’m going to be waiting a while since my injury is not serious. And I’m totally fine with that, but I am wanting to get some sleep while I wait.

I’ve tried all of reclining buttons and I even walked to the end of the bed with the little “patient lock” symbol and tried that but I can’t figure out to recline it!

Am I allowed to press the nurse button to ask for help reclining the bed? It feels really silly since I know people are here with actual emergencies…
