How Do I Heal This? Preferably Without A Doctors Visit

How Do I Heal This? Preferably Without A Doctors Visit

These are burn wounds and I can’t quite remember how I got them because my memory is horrible but it happened probably a month and some days ago at least before May 7th and it leaks really thick orange liquid. It scabs over but the scab never connects with the skin underneath because of the liquid I’m assuming. I’ve been spraying them with bactine at least once every three days but I don’t know what else to do.

Should I move the skin off?

I got a blister on Sunday afternoon (Wednesday night now) and the skin that peeled off is still in tact. It’s been covering the wound and I can see underneath it’s still raw. Should I move the skin off?

It is also starting to raise slightly like a lump, does that mean it’s infected? I’ve been keeping it wrapped in antiseptic bandaids, wearing socks and doing salt warm water soaks for 15 mins a day.

I did a post a few days ago when it was fresh. Should I see a chemist?

Is this infected?

Me habían colocado un apósito y me lo retiraron el sábado, llevo 5 días con el mismo aspecto y siento que se ve muy rojo vivo en lugar de rosita

What is broken skin or a wound

What is broken skin for rabies to enter? Does it scab? And does it need blood? How would i know if the skin is broken or just an irritation if I don't have alcohol?

Cut my foot at the bar, took off the bandage today and it looks worse. Should I goto the walk in clinic?

I am 35f, social drinker and daily stoner, 5’9” 153 lbs. taking busiprone daily for anxiety, and this cut happened about 4 days ago. I was drinking at the bar and didn’t notice the cut on my foot until the next day. It scabbed over really well, and about 48 hours after the event I had my partner clean it up and cover it with a hydro colloid bandage.

This morning, I woke up and asked my partner to change the bandage, and I think we reopened the Wound. I am scared to go to the walk-in clinic for obvious reason reasons regarding finances. So I was thinking about putting butterfly bandages over it before the hydrocolloid this time to make sure that I don’t reopen it the next time I change the bandage.

I am mostly curious from professional help about if this is worth going into the walk-in clinic, and if it’s likely, I’ll need stitches. I understand that foot injuries are hard to care for because of how hard they are to keep clean. I am lucky to have time off to stay off of it for the time being.

It does not feel infected, it is not itchy or red outside of the Wound area that I can tell. And it’s not burning, I just feel a lot of pressure in it when it’s not raised.

Thank you.

Am I Overreacting Borderline Chemical Burns

I am freaking out & spiraling but also feeling rightfully upset maybe?

I have been consuming Nuun tablets for a long time but the most recent time I purchased it at Whole Foods Market, it was like a completely different product. It burned the inside of my mouth in what feels like every spot. It is incredibly painful and my throat feels swollen and it’s hard to swallow. I can’t say it is 100 percent the Nuun tablets for the throat but it seems highly likely that it is what burned the heck out of my mouth because of the timeline of the burns.

I feel like the government is just doing weird things with formulary change notifications being unnecessary but I called into Nuun and they said that they didn’t change it. I just don’t know how that could be true because it hasn’t had this effect for the years that I have consumed them. Is that me just being paranoid? They were unhelpful and said that they would do an investigation and get back to me in a month or two. They offered a refund but like I’m good on the $7.00 that they costed, I just want to know why my mouth is in so much pain after days and if it’s going to be like this for a while. I know I should go to the doctor and I’m monitoring it but I have paid enough for appointments this month and I really don’t want to get slapped with an urgent care bill.

Do I need to chill out and not be so worked about this? I feel like a Karen but also like this is so painful and I just want to be able to eat normally again and not be gaslit by companies.

Is my wound infected?

I was roller skating and fell down the stairs and scraped my knee on the concrete. This happened on 5/14 and this is how it looks 4 days later on 5/18. I've been putting Vaseline on it and using gauze pads to cover it.

I think my finger is infected and idk how concerned I should be

17F, 95 lbs and 5’2.” I got a small paper cut like 4 days ago and forgot to clean it. It started getting itchy earlier today and it’s been swelling. At this point it’s swelling more like there’s a tiny balloon and I’m losing feeling in my hand. it’s also really painful. It’s 9pm and my parents don’t really believe in going to the doctor so they’re like not concerned but I just wanna make sure I’m not like dying of sepsis?

How do I heal this?

I wore skates that didn’t fit and a rubbed a good few layers of skin off, although it feels like I rubbed all the layers off… the wound is wet and very raw (and hurts a lot)

I’ve been washing with warm water and wet paper towel and put a bit of Vaseline (petroleum jelly) and betadine on it. Should I be putting Vaseline on it? It’s pretty raw. I can’t wash it in the shower it hurts too much.

I’m a little scared

Bled a good amount but nothing lasting crazy long just took the bandaid off after two days gonna clean it and reapply a bandaid to it. Doesn’t hurt anymore just slight stinging every here and there since i’m still working with it (covered and gloved) but just curious

Broken Skin? Wound? Cat bite?

So I have questions...

  1. What in the world is broken skin even without blood or scab? What if I dont have alcohol to check for one?

  2. Can cat bites not be felt when wearing pants and using phone? No numbness.

  3. Is that video a wound or a hidden puncture or not?

How many first aid kits do you own? Personally I’ve got 3 - the house kit, the mini one i keep on my person in my bag and the car kit! - Also what first aid supplies do you wish more people kept around?

The house kit has all the normal dressings and stuff but also things you’d need more at home like burn gel and dressings, numbing agents for dental issues and clotting powder for cuts.

The mini first aid kit again has the standard dressings but also things you might need on the go like blister patches, bite and sting gel, antihistamines and that kind of stuff.

The car kit has a full lay out roll in there but also a bleed kit and splints that i keep in the bag too.

Personally i find having situational kits much more efficient than just one big one that covers everything because if you are in an emergency you do mot wanna be pulling random crap out the way to stop a bleed - and on the other hand if someone has a blister you don’t wanna risk messing up your truma kit to find a blister patch.

Is it just a clot or something serious?

Guys I just bumped into the corner of my bed and initially it was just a small light red patch which has grown into this? Is this normal ? Will it get healed by itself or do I need to do something about it?

glue instead of stitches on chin laceration

I cannot tell if the wound is reopening or not… it is very small and urgent care glued it shut instead of putting in a stitch

first photo is the wound
second is right after getting it glued
and third is what it looks like at the present

i’m noticing more oxidized blood but i can’t tell if that means the wound is reopening

i’m also kind of unsure where the wound actually was now that it’s glued

just looking for help and advice
