How much more expensive are heavier cars to own? Deciding between Mx5 or g6et

Been looking at a couple options for a new daily driver.. would love to have a manual track ready car but having seats and being a nice daily driver is a good bonus and I’m looking to have the car till it dies, also want to save money to invest.. I’m 50/50 between mx5 or g6et

Nc mx5 (~1130kg) would be great for corners and track days but has almost no storage or seats and power is a struggle with a 2.5 swap probably being my limit for now

G6e turbo (~1745kg) looks so good for the extra seats and power but don’t think it’s worth taking to a track.. probably more comfortable but I wouldn’t be able to go as hard on the acceleration or corners on the road, won’t be great at emergency braking and will be more expensive to daily, just not sure how much more
