Sorry for my English, as you can tell I'm not native speaker.

Context

I bought a ring as gift from a seller located in US. After completing the checkout, I received an automatic message (I suppose) telling me that it would have taken 3 to 4 weeks to make the ring.
On the second week or so, the seller tells me that it isn't possible to ship to Italy from US due to "carrier's current policies" and that the solution is to transship from China.
So as far as I'm aware, "transhipping" from China means that it goes from US to China and from China to Italy. The seller also confirmed that this doesn't mean that the ring is made in China.
I had faith and said that I was okay as far everything was share uniquely on Etsy.

Note: from now on, the seller offers me a full refund after each message.

Some days later, I finally receive the tracking number and to my surprise (maybe not so much) nowhere is mentioned about US. In fact, the ring was picked up in China and no previous history about US is mentioned.
I asked for clarification and the answer was that there were two separate shipments and that was why I couldn't see anything before.
So then I asked for proof like the tracking number of the shipment between US and China but the seller responds "due to the shipping method used, we don't have an individual tracking number for this leg of the journey that corresponds to your specific package".
After that, I answered that if he/she/they couldn't proof without any kind of proof that the ring is made in US and/or that it traveled from US to China, I would have accepted they offer of full refund.

Refund was emitted.

I know that many of you will think that I was dumb not to immediately accept the refund but I really like that ring and wanted to trust the seller given the amount of good reviews, total sales and years on Etsy.
If anything, I believed in etsy support.

Etsy Support

Before writing the last message to the seller, I contacted Etsy support via live chat inviting them to read our conversation and asking them if the seller was legit. The operator agreed on my suspects and contacted another team to investigate on this case giving my email so they could contact me and/or keep me updated.

Unfortunately, as you can read, the "investigation" team did not give a F and instead, it seemed quite like I was the dumb.

Conclusion

This was my very first time experiencing Etsy support and I hope that, if it wasn't for the sellers, they would have helped me getting my money back.

To be completely honest, I feel quite bad for having my money back while the ring is still being delivered (should arrive tomorrow).
Mine were just doubts and I really wanted the seller to prove itself with anything. He/she wasn't even angry at me, he/she did not provide anything which I find absurd. I mean, in this situation if you are in the right you can easily prove it, right?

P.s. I know that's an ugly collage 😂 but in this sub it's not possible to share more than one pic (why?).
