Is it possible to buy gear on the 19th, log out and then sell the bought honor gear/gems back for honor?

I have 5k arena points that I just can't spend, I'm fully geared. I'd get 50k honor points for these but I have 60k+ honor points already and the cap is at 75k. So hence the question: can i offset this with some tactical purchasing and then the next day I'd buy all the pvp off pieces and get my 50k honor too with vendoring the pvp gems?
