Is Blizzard ever going to deal with these obvious bot groups?

I've been seeing the same group of characters farming for at least 4 days straight now.

They're all in the same guild, have nearly identical random-looking names, most of them are level 64-66 Mages, and they move around in a perfect train following each other. Every time I check, they're online doing exactly the same thing.

I searched for part of their names and found dozens of characters with the exact same naming pattern. Screenshots attached.

At this point it doesn't even look like someone is trying to hide it. It's just a huge bot farm running 24/7.

Has anyone else seen these groups on other realms? Do reports against these accounts actually do anything anymore, or do they just keep farming until the next ban wave?

https://preview.redd.it/nxgsjyzd7lbh1.png?width=264&format=png&auto=webp&s=61229812538535ffb6a614a4cdf79dd1e1ce6dd2

It's pretty frustrating to see something this blatant running for days without any action.

https://preview.redd.it/ol1bl75f7lbh1.png?width=277&format=png&auto=webp&s=b5731fef5e45aebee7a8b21179fa19f8dcecff8b

Hopefully someone at Blizzard notices this. I've seen people post similar bot groups here before, and sometimes they disappear surprisingly quickly afterward. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but it's worth bringing attention to it.

LF Warlock Arena Advice

I’m looking for beginner and advanced tips, tricks and advice. I’m fairly new to arenas. I have about 100 games in. We have a shadow play threes team shadow priest, SL/SL warlock (me), Resto Shaman. My resilience is 435.

Things I already know are pre-start fire shield, summon fell Hunter on the last second sacrifice void walker and turn on soul link. Double cookies. Shadow protection buff. Spellstone.

Devour Magic on CCed friendlies.

Curse of tongues of any caster/healer (besides Druid).

Things that I’m working on right now is

Coordinating silences between the shadow priest and my fell hunter, I don’t know if Glady shows the debuff timer, but any add-on would be helpful.

Things I need help with is sequence of action for different comps for example RMP what would be a helpful opener? I’m thinking chain silence the healer, fear lock the mage and kill the Rogue. Any advice on this?

Another comp that we struggle with is a wind fury comp. Rogues and Warriors immune to fears. Burn shaman down? No other CCs available. Slow totem might be useful?

Should I use CoE when focusing one target down with the spriest?

Would also appreciate advice on openers for different comps.

Should I DOT everything up and then CC or CC first then dot?

Give anything you got, I’ll take it all. Thanks in advance.

Looking for Warlock guidance

Hello guys.
first of all this is taking me to much time to write, since i really try to word myself correct so i dont get misunderstood.

i been playing warlock a bit on and off, i somewhat know what my spec should be. i am low level at the moment, but i keep thinking about how to play it well.

i mainly just played Mage, and Hunter because they are just easy to play, and Warlock just seems super cool and amazing.
and upfront i know its all about practice and focusing on learnin to play.

What i have a hard time wrapping my brain around is the fighting mobs scene.

I hear youtubers say "fight 3 mobs, even 4 more at a time", Kargoz, MetaGoblin and the sorts, they talk alot, but never show how, its like a coach in football, they talk a lot about do this and that, but never show.

so i once got a warlock to level 51. i can manage 2 mobs. voidwalker on 1, dot dot, then another mob dot dot fear fart and laugh. but once i get to the part of having to manage a 3rd it gets tricky, because the youtubers mention (im not denying i misunderstand it) that i should keep my mana up and health up fighting 3 mobs at a time without issues.
But when i try i always just sit back and thinking HOOOO BOY i almost died and shat my pants.

so what i do, as mention Voidwalker in, Curse of Agony and Corruption Siphon Life. then the other mob i do Immolate Curse of Agony -> fear and Corruption Siphon Life. and i can manage that pretty well. but when i go for the 3rd mob, i do the same as the 2nd, immolate Curse of Agony Corruption Siphon Life, then life drain but then i am FULLY out of mana.. and i life tab the living hell out of myself, but it seems like i cant regen fast enough as i understand the youtube class guide gurus are "explaining" me to do.

i want to do this the right way, but i seem to be out of mana and health by the end of fighting 3 mobs.
This is messy written, so i do hope someone could give me guidance.
i even tried searching on twitch for people playing Warlock, but either they are in Arena or Raiding and thats really just boring to look at. i really want to learn, and become better, not better than others just better than myself than i was yesterday.

the talents i made here was somethign i made up from the top of my head, because it seems like its useful, or a good spec. but maybe it would help you guys giving me advice on how to improve.

Thank you for your time, and you have to know i truely appreciate it since time is not what we have the most of.

TBC Audit update: Encounter Timelines

Hey again,

A while back I posted TBC Audit here, the tool that grades your WarcraftLogs parses and breaks down what's holding your DPS (or threat) back. The response was genuinely overwhelming (the servers definitely felt it 😅), and a ton of you sent feedback that shaped where it went. Thank you for that. As of this moment we've just crossed 400,000 audits!

Here's the big new thing: Encounter Timelines.

Instead of just a grade and a breakdown, you can now open the Timeline tab on any audit and get a second-by-second replay of your fight: what you cast, when, and just as importantly, what you didn't.

What it shows:

- Every cast laid out on a vertical timeline, following the actual rotation beat you played

- Dead time, where you stopped casting or shooting

- "Ready but held" cooldowns, so you can see when a core ability (Bloodthirst, Crusader Strike, Mind Blast, Stormstrike, Mangle) came off cooldown but you sat on it for a few seconds

- "Burst" rails, so you can see at a glance whether your cooldowns and hardest hits actually landed inside the burst window

- Spec-specific detail: seal-twist payoffs for ret paladins, DoT drops for shadow priests, auto-shot clipping for hunters, Slice and Dice / Expose uptime for rogues, and so on

The idea is the same as the audit itself: point at the concrete things you can change next raid, not what gear you're wearing.

For now I've opened Timelines up to everyone as a public beta while I gather feedback. Timings and highlights are still being calibrated, so they might shift.

Link: https://www.tbc-audit.com/ - then run an audit and hit the Timeline tab.

My ask is the same as last time: I'm not an expert on every single spec, so if something looks off for your class (a cooldown it thinks you held when you couldn't, a metric that's missing, a call that's just wrong) I'd love to hear it.

There's now a Feedback button right in the top bar that sends it straight to me, or just drop it in the comments.

Cheers 🙏

Enhancement shaman 2.7 weps

I recently got the rod of the sun king. 2.7 wep speed.

What would you recommend to pair it with?

From what I read enhance wep speeds should be the same.

I’m wondering if I should spend 4-5k gold probably to lvl BLacksmith and get the dragonmaw mace or wait until talon drops off alar.

The talon seems to never drop I think its drop rate is 10% so I might just bite the bullet and go black smith to get another 2.7 wep.

My other wep is blade fist. (2.6)

So unsure on what I should do.

Does hyjal have any good 2.7 wep speeds?

Arena Gearing Reality

So… I love tbc and vanilla. Back then though (early 2000s), I was just a kid doing random stuff. That is to say, I know very little about the game itself besides some fundamentals about dungeon content.

I was stoked to reach 70 and had saved up honor to get basically a full set of battleground gear to try out arena and get gladiator gear which I have never had before.

I started with some skirmishes and I have to say that it is insanely discouraging. Everyone was decked out in gladiator gear already and I was just crushed every round.

Does anyone have any advice beyond buying a boost ?

How bad of an idea is it to level a rogue?

I'm itching to level a third alt but I'm in a pickle. I already have a warrior and a paladin that I raid on. I was forced to play horde by friends, and the only races I like on horde are undead and blood elves, in that order. I'm sure you can see that this is leading me to rogue being my only other option, but the amount of sheer hatred I see towards them has me kinda hesitant. Would I be better off just not leveling one at all and playing some other game when it's not raid time?

Does the community get significantly more toxic at higher levels?

Hey everyone,

I could really use some perspective from veteran players because I’m feeling pretty discouraged after recent dungeon runs.

For context, this is my first character (enhancement shaman, currently lvl 68) in a very long time. I never really learned the game back in the day, just messed around and had fun on retail 15 years ago. I finally decided to give Classic a real shot. I’m trying to learn as much about the game and my spec as possible because I genuinely want to be a good player, but I also want to stay grounded and actually enjoy the experience.

In the earlier levels, I met some incredibly kind people. I found forgiving groups who helped me out with gear questions, strategy, and even dungeon lore. It was awesome!

Lately, as I get to higher levels, I keep running into players who take the game so seriously, and it’s honestly making me feel terrible. I know I need to build up a thicker skin, but I’m wondering if this is just how the endgame community is?

Here is the latest example.. I usually deal pretty solid damage as enh. I’ve studied my rotation and I try to maximize my DPS, even though I know my primary role is utility/totem buffing rather than purely topping the meters. I’m usually top 2 in damage, or a very close 3rd on a bad day.

However, we were running Black Morass, and for some reason, this dungeon specifically gives me a lot of trouble. I just couldn't seem to output good damage. To make matters worse, the healer couldn't keep up, the tank kept losing aggro, and the whole team was under constant pressure.

Since I was struggling to pump DPS anyway, I decided to step in and help with off-healing. This actually saved us during a few fights, but as we progressed, we still ended up wiping twice.

After the second wipe, the Group Leader completely went off on me. He blamed me for the wipes, called me a complete amateur, and told me how shitty I was playing. I actually agreed with him that I was struggling and politely asked for some constructive advice on what I should be doing differently. Instead of helping, he just told me I was "wasting people's time" and left the group, so the team disbanded.

I’m the kind of player who tries to absorb feedback and apply it immediately. I've learned a ton from helpful players along the way. But interactions like this just make me sad. It’s disheartening that people treat such failures in a 15-year-old game as a devastating waste of their "precious time".

Is this level of toxicity and "sweatiness" standard as you approach level 70 and start doing endgame content? Do any veteran Enhance Shamans have tips for Black Morass specifically? I'd love to know what I was doing wrong.

Thanks for reading. Just trying to figure out if I should brace myself for more of this or if I just got unlucky with a few bad groups.

Oh and have a nice day everyone!

After thousands of hours and years of playing WoW, I have finally reached 60 for the first time ever.

Pretty much all in the title. I've been playing on and off since launch in 2019, but never actually got into WoW until anniversary dropped last year. I saw it as the perfect opportunity to play through the expansions. The problem all this time has been that I love playing hardcore and I'm also a bad altoholic. Once I'd get a toon to 30 or 40, I'd swap and go play something else. I stuck with this toon and it only took my three months. My one and only WoW friend has been helping to gear and enchant me.

I know this isn't max level for TBC, but it is in vanilla, so I still consider this a huge accomplishment. I'm about to leave for vacation, so I'm gonna wait until I get back to enter Outland for the first time. Thank you to this awesome community- I'm just so happy I've finally done it :)

If you have any tips for someone doing Outland for the first time, by all means..

Edit: Thanks for the awards! Yes, that's kang- she carried me from 46 all the way here!

fuck u blizzard

Just great. Releasing Midsummer event where Ahune is dropping updated 128ilvl items, in which the one neck with agility simply does not exist is just the next great step by this shit company. Gratz u made this TBC the worst experience I ever had with any TBC. What was the drop chance this time, let me guess 5-8%? This shit broken loot system is dropping same loot every fuckin single day!!! Same as non existent DST. And on top of that making this event like 1 week is just GREAT. I did Ahune every single day on 2 chars and never seen the Agility neck. FU

Guild is giving equal priority for belt of 100 deaths to melee dps and bear tanks. Is that normal?

Context: the belt dropped for us 2-3 weeks into Phase 2, and our rogue ended up getting it. The belt was originally not HR'd, but after some pushing, we ended up HRing it.

Now we're putting equal priority across all melee dps, the prot war, and the bear tank. Who should get the belt? What is the actual priority?

Aoe levelling after nerf

tldr: Level 36 Horde mage looking for good AoE farming spots after the solo dungeon farming nerfs. Any recommendations? Is ZF farming dead too?

Hello guys,

I started a Horde mage because I wanted to try the class, and I decided to level through AoE farming since it looked incredibly fun in all the videos I'd seen. And honestly, it was. I had a great time, especially in Hillsbrad whenever there weren't any Alliance players around. The problem is that once you hit level 31, Hillsbrad pretty much stops being worthwhile, so you need to move somewhere else.

At first I started doing SM spell cleave groups, and it worked well enough. The downside is that you need a proper group, and finding one consistently isn't always easy. Between that and the Midsummer event, I eventually reached level 36.

Then I found what looked like an amazing guide for solo farming SM as a mage. I was so excited that I studied the video, learned the pulls, bought everything I needed, and gave it a try.

I died. Then I died again. And again.

That's when I realized the guide was outdated because Blizzard had already nerfed solo mage dungeon farming.

So... now I'm back to looking for a good place to level. I checked Icy Veins, but there aren't many AoE farming suggestions for mages around level 36. The only spot I found was Arathi, but the mobs there are green (around level 30-31), so it doesn't seem very efficient.

Can anyone recommend a better place to AoE farm at level 36?

Also, does this mean Zul'Farrak solo farming is dead too? I kept reading that mage AoE leveling was supposed to be amazing XP, great gold, and a lot of fun, but right now it feels pretty discouraging.

Pic of my mage because she's precious.

Where do I spend these?

With midsommar event coming to an end there is a expiration date on items. There is nowhere to spend the remaining burning blossoms (Atleast not in Thunder Bluff), and the daily "Striking Back" is still possible to pick up, but not complete.

My experience creating a new 19 twink hunter in TBC anni.

(If this ain't your scene, move along.)

Just wanted to make a detailed post answering a few questions I would've loved to have asked before I started, since a lot of the old twink information sites are gone now. Gear list at the end.

Server: Dreamscythe NA

-

Q: How long did it take to go from 1-19 and get fully geared along the way?

A: About 1 day /played.

-

Q: How long did it take to get the exploration and flightpaths (running and dying ad nauseum at level 1 before beginning to level)?

A: About 3.5 hours.

-

Q: How expensive was it?

A: About 1,400g so far, but I haven't gotten the shoulder enchantment yet. That could be multiple thousands.

-

Q: Shoulder enchant?!

A: I know! I thought I knew all the old-school twink stuff, but Naxx enchants are a thing. They're just hella expensive and impossible to find. But people get 'em. I'm on the hunt (ha). The one thing that is now impossible and fully legacy is the people who got the enchant added to Serpent's Shoulders while they were still unbound white and then had them transform into the blue version with +9 agi and retain the enchant. That was only able to happen before the patch that made them blue. Grats to you lucky fuckers.

-

Q: How much did you pay for runs?

A: It varied a lot. I paid 10g each for VC, 10g each for single bosses in WC 25g for a full-run, 10g for Stocks, and 100g for someone to escort me through the quiver questline (annoyingly long because you run across duskwood and back twice). A couple other small things were also 10g ish. WC full run was the only one that took some extra gold to get people interested.

-

Q: How much did you pay for the libram enchant on helm?

A: 250g, but I'm honestly not sure how close to the running rate that is.

-

Q: How are the queues?

A: Abysmal so far, but I've only been 19 for a day. Got one queue after 15ish minutes, now nothing for 2 hours. (Edit: got second game very soon after posting; Edit 2: abysmal sometimes, almost immediate at peak evening. Totally fine.)

-

Q: Is it all twinks, mostly non-twinks, or similar to TBC original (which was usually around 20-40% twinks)?

A: Only game I've played so far was almost identical to TBC in 2007. 3-4 twinks per team. (Edit: both games; Edit 2: seems to be more like 50/50. A couple games were even more like 8 twinks each. Super fun.)

-

Current gear list:

Green Tinted Goggles +100 HP

Sentinel's Medallion

Serpent's Shoulders or Talbard Mantle (eventually white with Naxx Attack & Crit)

Sentry Cloak +3 agi

Tunic of Westfall or Blackened Defias Armor +100 HP

Wrangler's Wristbands of the Monkey 3/3 +9 stam

Scouting Gloves of the Monkey +15 agi

Deviate Scale Belt

Scouting Trousers of the Monkey +40 stam +12 agi

Footpads of the Fang +minor speed

Seal of Wrynn

Protector's Band or Meadow Ring of the Monkey 3/3

(Arena Trinket)

Insignia of the Alliance

Twisted Chanter's Staff +25 agi

Venomstrike +3 damage

Quiver of the Nightwatch

-

Happy PvPing!

In need of help to finally decide the raid comp.

For the past weeks in my raid team, we've had discussions about how the groups should be and i'm tired of people's personnal wishes. I want external opinions on how to rearrange if need be the groups to optimize dps. Also if you think that we're missing some specs or have too many of some, let me know. I just want this neverending discussion to end.

Do bots enter dungeons?

This is my first classic play through and I have had no problems so far. I have had good and mediocre groups as I have levelled.

Today was just different. I just did a run of blood furnace and it was the worst group I have ever encountered. No one spoke a word, no one did mechanics, tank didn’t wait for anyone to drink mana including healer, tank started boss encounters while people were still running back to their corpse. I was so confused wtf was going on. Is this honestly trolls or just bots?
