very different flavors of 10/22

for general use i didn't want a whole lot of tools and this one had everything I thought I might need and I like the simple design but I wanted to know if it has any design flaws or things of that nature I should know about

If I'm gonna utilize the unique bore axis for recoil mitigation, I want it to be on a big beefy round, but these seem to be unobtanium even on the secondhand market aside from the ugly blue one (I want one in chrome only)

re: an earlier post about replacing the sling studs/swivels, I figure it might be simpler to just get an upgraded gas block than drill through the factory one. I'm leaning towards this gen 4 one from accuracy systems as opposed to the gen 5 since i like the stud placement more and I don't plan on using an accu-strut.

What are the pros/cons? anyone have personal experience with these they can share?

My new leather sling wouldn’t fit through the sling swivels so I decided to just cut off the factory sling swivels which also annoyed me for other reasons.

turns out the stud holes don’t go all the way for some fuckin reason. I presume the gas block is the same, and I’ll just have a gunsmith drill a hole through it for me but does anyone know where I can find a replacement sling stud for the stock that does go all the way through? I had trouble finding one on my own

the cheapest one is supposedly a higher rating than the two more expensive ones. I've even seen ones up to 5000$ are all the cheap ones straight up a scam? how can you tell if it's legit or not?
