Hit By Uninsured Motorist, Still No Payout
Four months ago while stopped at an intersection I was hit by another vehicle. Shortly thereafter I received a letter from the at-fault party’s insurance company (National General) that she was not covered at the time of the accident. I promptly forwarded this letter to my adjuster. My claim has still not been transferred to Uninsured Motorist coverage and I’m out the $750 deductible difference between coverages.
I’ve sent multiple emails to the adjuster, chatted with customer service and contacted my local agent. All result in “we’ll look into it and get right back to you”. Any other thoughts on how to wrap this up?
Edit: Called my agent again Friday and told her about how my adjuster keeps saying she’ll look into it and I never hear back. Agent said “I hate it when they do that. I’ll find out what’s happening and get right back to you within an hour”. I haven’t heard from the agent since 😜
