I’ve been working on a mascot horror project called “STUDIO OF JOY”, created by me.

The story takes place inside an abandoned animation studio that once created children’s TV shows meant to help lonely kids feel loved and understood.

But behind the scenes, the studio secretly operated the “Aurora Initiative” — experiments that transformed children into living mascots through psychological conditioning and experimental surgeries.

Years later, someone enters the abandoned studio after receiving a mysterious invitation… and discovers what really happened there.

Still developing the lore, characters, VHS tapes and worldbuilding.

I didn’t really like Chapter 5 of Poppy Playtime.

The biggest problem for me is the tone. Earlier chapters felt dark, tense, and mysterious, especially Chapters 1–3. But Chapter 5 feels way too colorful and sometimes even childish.

The “Sweet Street” area is a good example. It feels completely out of place, like something that would fit better in Chapter 3, not in the deepest parts of a laboratory where experiments were created. I expected something much more disturbing and heavy.

Lily Lovebraids is a cool concept, but she feels too cartoonish for this point in the story. I wish she was more unsettling and unpredictable instead of playful.

Also, the story feels messy. A lot of things just happen without enough buildup, and the return of certain characters (like the Doctor) feels forced instead of meaningful.

Overall, it feels like the game is losing the dark atmosphere that made it special in the first place.

I really hope Chapter 6 brings back a darker, more serious tone and focuses more on horror instead of colorful or comedic elements.
