Going to Mexico next month solo for a work trip. Staying at Marriott I believe.

Is it frowned upon to offer money to hang out with a worker at the resort in my room. Whether it be a maid or server somewhere.

Obviously that's not why I'm going there but if it comes down to it. Is that a bad idea?
