QIDI Q2 - Random under-extrusion and first layer issues. Looking for advice

Hi everyone! Complete beginner here.

We’re having trouble with the first layer on our QIDI Q2.

We get random under-extrusion on the first layer: gaps between lines, missing extrusion in certain spots, and sometimes areas where it looks like the printer just stops extruding for a moment (see the photos). If the first layer turns out bad, the rest of the print has the same defects.

Here’s what we’ve already tried:

  • Updated the firmware
  • Ran bed leveling multiple times
  • Adjusted the Z-offset
  • Fixed the well-known idler gear play issue
  • The nozzle has clogged several times in the past

Does this look like a partially clogged nozzle, an extruder issue, a Z-offset problem, or something else? Any advice on what we should check next would be greatly appreciated.
