I’m really tired but I wanted to share this as a form of thanking and maybe reasoning.
The spa day was performed on ultra white couch cushions. They have been washed, without softeners, and vacuumed for their entire life (almost 20 yo) before and kept religiously cleaned in a clean, smoke and pet free house (always covered, just one user, only home clothes allowed; everyone should have “their” little den with their preferences without having “disorders” for it) in the last few years the person wasn’t able to wash the cushions covers and something was off. So I decided to spa.
What surprised me is that we always correctly think about dye transfers or colored detergents. I used white powder for detergent and oxy (and ammonia of course). Unfortunately I had to eyeball a lot, didn’t have too much oxy and I went for body temperature water because I was worried to “cook” a little but old cappuccino stain.
Anyway I wanted to share what I feared but hoped to see: yellow after 100% white cotton and 100 % white powder (maybe you have more scientific knowledge to explain it; I know my actual limitations)
I really wanted to thank the person who made this possible: this is the biggest step I have seen worldwide to “de”fast fashion our earth 💚 (can’t tag; app keeps on crashing) and comes from a single person. Thank you keezme
