Nykaa sent damaged products due to poor packaging, then refunded less than replacement cost
I ordered a few products from Nykaa recently — including a L’Oréal shampoo + conditioner combo and two more products.
All 4 products were packed together in one carton box with basically no cushioning or protective packaging between them. Because of that, the L’Oréal conditioner bottle/package got damaged during delivery.
When I contacted customer care, they said the item was not eligible for replacement, only return + refund. So they picked it up and refunded me around ₹730 (the discounted amount I originally paid).
The frustrating part is that the same conditioner now costs much more on the app. Even after discounts, it’s around ₹800+, meaning I now have to pay extra out of pocket to reorder a product that got damaged because of THEIR packaging.
Customer support basically told me that prices “keep changing” and they can’t help with that.
Also, communicating with support was difficult because I struggled to clearly understand parts of the conversation because of their poor English, which made the whole process frustrating.
Thank God I knew hindi, or else it would have been even more frustrating.
Has anyone else dealt with this from Nykaa?
