Need help, I'm currently at the orthodontist to get my teeth checked up I'm 14 and I told him my mild overcrowding and he suggested extractions although I suggested palate expanders.

We're going to the hospital to get some x-rays, but I'm still unsure since I've seen some people have their faces ruined by extractions.

When I asked him "wont extractions make my jaw narrower?" He told me they focus more on teeth alignment, although my primary focus is on facial aesthetics.

Idk what to do since my parents r with me rn I feel like I'm getting time pressured.
