Tiny open-source Finder extension that adds the basic actions it’s missing: New File, Open Terminal Here, Open Folder in your IDE, Copy Path, Go to Parent Folder

I switched from Windows to Mac and was flabbergasted that Finder can't do some of the most basic things Explorer does.

My 300-code lines Finder extension adds missing features:

- New File… with any name and extension

- Open Terminal Here (iTerm2 if installed, otherwise Terminal)

- Open Folder With lists the IDEs/editors you actually have installed plus "Other App…"

- Copy Path of the current folder

- Go to Parent Folder, which works even when Back is greyed out

It's free, open source, built with Claude.
