think about it, zombies having the exact same clothes as Steve, they share the same build, posses similar strength
and let's not forget there are literal zombie spawners everywhere
what if zombies in minecraft, are simply a reminder of steve's immortality? every time he dies, his past body gets reanimated, just think about it

or we can get to a boring reality, which is just notch was a bit lazy and didn't want more textures for zombies
