A year since we launched the supper club!

Hi all,

For anyone that remembers the little supper club we started a year ago - we're still going!

I've been rubbish at updating the Instagram, but for anyone interested, here's some spots we've tried this year:

Purezza (Bimini Bon Boulash) – Seeking refuge from the rain during Veganuary, we tried Camden’s famous vegan pizza joint, where we spotted Maxine Peake happily chomping down. The food was excellent but in the spirit of transparency, I must report that it did give me a bubbly tummy afterwards… some vegan cheeses will do that to you, so proceed at your own discretion. We’re giving it a respectable 7/10 for taste and animal friendliness.

Darjeeling Express (Asma Khan) – This Soho-based Indian restaurant really looked after us and the food was wonderful. Not one QR code was spotted, and they even took our coats and moved our table to a better spot when possible. The attentive service and spice-tastic toastie starters left a lasting impression, making this an easy 10/10 from the gang.

Adam's Ethiopian (Sean McLoughlin) – This is a 'blink and you'll miss it' gem just off Brixton High Street, where you can tuck into a huge platter of sour injera bread, lentils, and all manner of delicious bits. The whole tear, share and swallow affair made for a brilliant bonding experience and, true to Sean’s word, it somehow felt healthy. A well-earned 8/10.

More fun is planned over the summer. Let us know if there's anywhere really good we should try...
