Just back form this show, and we did really enjoy it, but felt like it kind of fizzled out at the end. I'd read there was an amazing bit about ABBA which we didn't get, and that the final pay-off was incredible, but instead we just got a funny bit of chat with a couple of audience members about what flags mean in Belfast, then he ended the show. Still had a great time, but felt like we only got part of the actual show.
Dayton Grey was fantastic! i noticed James’ tour manager recording people from the sidelines when dayton was doing the last song which is the sweetest thing! The show overall was amazing plus whoever didn’t wait to see James after missed out on meeting Joe Lycett!
Joe lycett was in the building and i managed to meet him after the show as well as james! Wish i could’ve met Dayton as well but sadly not!
No spoilers but we did think the warm up was weird, we get the joke but it didn’t feel the type of act to get audience comedic juices flowing.
40 odd minutes before James started. Then despite various posts here about various lengths our show was over in 55 minutes maybe less.
I enjoyed it but felt the vibe was slightly subdued. My wife who isn’t a big James like me was disappointed. She also felt some of the audio was a bit muffled.
Not keen on the politics stuff midway through.
This was THE best show i’ve ever seen. The first act was amazing even when someone got up and started dancing! although for the last song i started glowing neon yellow bc i wore the party gator shirt so im so sorry to the tribute act who was on the first half.. thing is i was right in the middle on the front row so it was super hard to miss.. amazing singer though
James’ show itself was brilliant. it was fantastic.. no heckles just a pure laughing show where everyone loved it. James went off the rails for about 10 minutes but it was hilarious! brum really did it so well tonight! 💗💗
I honestly don't understand why people have been moaning so much on this sub about his dublin shows.
It was great, crowd interaction was nice and there was an fantastic vibe (except for that one guy who was loud, not heckling, with his friends and in lovely Irish fashion was told to stfu).
Yes, there were some moments and jokes that missed but he recovered pretty well.
For those curious, he did the Craig Simons act, joked about Vicar St being a dump and some UK politics.
