We are a blended family with 4 kiddos ages 13-8. We will be coming from Ohio and some of the kiddos live in VT, so will pick them up and then are looking for somewhere to spend a week at.

I have never traveled to this part of the country so I have 0 ideas on where to start. We are wanting to keep the housing budget low, we don’t need anything fancy.

We are looking for somewhere that has lots to explore and maybe even close enough for day drives to other states or places. Would love to be close to water, have lots of kiddos wanting to fish.

Give me all the recommendations on where to start to search for somewhere to stay! We are looking to travel last week of June early July!
