So I know people have their opinions on the game or whatever but honestly just purely on an aesthetics basis, Haunted Hotel is my favorite thus far in KF3 and IMO is the 2nd best Halloween map KF has ever released as a Halloween map. For me it's only behind Monster Ball.

It's got a great color palette and it understands the aesthetics that made Monster Ball such a well renowned map. I only wish I could rotate between those maps and a couple custome Halloween maps. In due time though for modding.

So I'm one of the resident KF3 supporters. As such you get told how bad an opinion that is.

One of the common game tropes is "Game Dead look at Steam Numbers compared to KF2 Bro". Haha well for the first time since August 2025 we can report and record at least one day where someone can't default to "look at Steam numbers".

Probably won't last long and for the next 11 months I will have to hear this again and again day in and day out, but let's enjoy the 5 mins today where we don't have to hear that...

I can expect a wave of people telling me it doesn't matter and how sad it is for X or Y reason that this is the case or "free weekend" this or that, but for once, it's just not "check steam numbers"...

Wanted to ask on drives for ripping. This seems to be a question that needs to be asked month to month as products get bought out/ firmware updates doesnt allow MKV flashing/ etc. For example, many had recommend the Verbatim 43888 drives, but those seem OOS on Amazon. When I look at guides or comments from months to a year ago people have comments that they no longer work.

Wanted to get something relatively economical for ripping. planned on permanently having it hooked up to my pc via USB and around my desk. I am open to portable drives as well as the big drives + external housing if it means more reliable reading for my desk setup.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
