commission-only B2B sales agent for smart home product

We’re a small startup manufacturing and selling a smart home/IoT product. So far, most of our sales have been B2C through online advertising, but we'd like to explore B2B opportunities as well.

Hiring a full-time salesperson is not really within our budget at the moment, so I’ve been wondering whether independent sales agents could be a reasonable alternative. Are there such people out there who are willing to work like that even? The idea would be to work on a commission-only basis, generous commission on any deals they bring in, including recurring purchases.

Has anyone used this approach? Is it realistic to find good sales agents willing to work purely on commission?

And where could you find them, are platforms like CommissionCrowd or Agents24 worth trying?

Looking for honest feedback on our store for a new hardware product

Hey! We’ve been developing an automated window handle for the past few years and recently started production and sales.

We are getting a reasonable amount of traffic from Meta and Google ads, but very few visitors are completing a purchase. My main concern is trust: the product costs over €200 and we are unknown brand. Secondly product category is unfamiliar, according to us there is nothing similar on the market currently.

I would appreciate honest feedback on the store, my main concerns:

  • Does it feel real and trustworthy?
  • Is it clear what the product actually is and does?
  • Is there anything obvious missing?

We built a Matter-over-Thread smart window handle — would appreciate thoughts from smart home users

I wanted to share something we have been working on and ask for honest feedback from people who care about smart home integrations.

We built a smart window handle/actuator for tilt-and-turn windows. The idea is to automate opening and closing the window without needing to replace the whole window, drill holes, or install a large chain actuator. And most importantly to be actually able to lock the window mechanism. The device replaces the existing window handle and uses the same screw positions. It can then open, close, or tilt the window automatically. Mounting pattern is for "European standard" handles.

The original motivation was very simple: sleeping with the window open is great, but getting out of bed to close it once the room gets chilly is not. We looked for a simple solution, could not really find one, and eventually started building it ourselves.

We also added temperature, humidity, and CO₂ monitoring to get more out of it than just moving the window.

I do not want this to come across as an advertisement. We are mainly looking for practical feedback.

In particular, I would be very interested to hear:

  • What automations would you actually use with a device like this?
  • Are there any extra features you would expect?
  • Are there any safety, reliability, or usability concerns that come to mind?

All ideas, thoughts, and criticism are very welcome.
