MacBook for CM program

I'm starting a CM program soon but wasn't recommended by the school to use my MacBook for the softwares needed for the degree. P6 , revit, MATLAB, OST, and Naviswork are some of the softwares I'll br using. Should I buy another computer or will my Mac be just fine?

Career questions

Currently I'm working as a carpenter apprentice doing commercial construction. I've been looking into project coordinator roles and have gotten some interviews but they're mostly residential but they're administrative roles. I'm going back to school for CM and want to do commercial construction. Would it make most sense to stick with working commercial building hands on or possibly go to an administrative role in residential while I get my CM degree and try to become a PE for a big GC?

Entry Level Positions

Hi guys, recently graduated from UC Irvine in an unrelated field and have been working as a union carpenter since for metal framing/drywall for commercial projects (hospitals). Having a degree and some field experience i wanted to transition into an entry role on the GC side such as construction coordinator , project engineer, field engineer etc. Have my ProCore certification and am working on my construction management certification from Columbia Uni online. Anyone on here work for any GCs thatre hiring entry level positions with my background? I'm just eager to learn , get my foot in the door, and gain experience. Currently in SoCal but am willing to relocate anywhere across the US if the opportunity arises.
