LSGS-Complaint Filed

Hello brothers and sisters first off happy almost 4th of July to this beautiful country

Here is my gripe: I am currently a SC vet for PTSD and I am suffering from some physical symptoms as well like involuntary movements (I have about 30-40 of these small episodes per day among other symptoms).

The VA sent me to a Neuropsych and he diagnosed me with Functional Neurological Disorder which he attributed directly to my PTSD. So naturally I am claiming it secondary to PTSD, usually I work with VES but this time I was assigned to LSGS.

I was given two C&P exams one "Neuro CNS & Neuromuscular Disease" which was in person on 5/29 and the second was a Psych DBQ on 6/2.

I go to attended the in person one with the relevant paperwork in hand notes from my Neuropsych doctor linking my issues to my SC PTSD as well as my MRI results the doctor even saw my tics first hand. I answered all his questions and he finished the exam and we parted ways.

I attend the second part of the exam where I am explaining to a very sympathetic looking Psy.D asking me about my social and occupational limitations as per my FND and PTSD. That C&P was great I am feeling confident about both.

However they've been sitting in the "Completed" section for about 33 days now. I spoke with both providers who conducted my C&P exams and they both told me they uploaded the DBQ's in the first week of June.

I've been trying to get answers from the call center but they refuse to give me any information other than a generic we are moving as quickly as you can. After 2 weeks of hearing that I began to ask for a manager where the reps have straight up said "No" and then they hang up on me.

Now being day 33 I reported them to the VA for their behavior and the DBQ delay, I am contemplating sending a complaint to the OIG but I am not sure.

Have any of you had these issues with LSGS?

Significant Issues with VES Provider

Hey guys I’ve made some posts about this over the past few months but I am getting reamed by this one VES NP

I have been diagnosed by the VA with Moderate OSA and GERD I’m currently 70% SC for PTSD and 10% Tinnitus

I filed my claim back in February for GERD and Sleep Apnea secondary to PTSD did a sleep study and got prescribed a CPAP machine

The VES NP has filled out the DBQ incorrectly and the VA has sent this back SIX times between April 1st through June 12th my sixth DBQ is awaiting the provides final signature so I’m hopeful it gets uploaded soon and I can file a FOIA

In the mean time I’ve been trying to get ahead of this since April 1st I used Claude to take my medical record and all 5 DBQs to create a document outlining errors and discrepancies

Here is a photo below of part of that 10 page document

I have since filed official complaints with VES (got no where) the VA (the rep told me they’re aware of it) and the office of the OIG

Please I could use some feedback

RATERS: I know we are not at your becon call but if you could shed an opinion on this please (in the realm of good taste of course)

Asking your VA doctor for a Nexus Letter?

Hey guys and gals first off Happy Flag day God bless our beautiful country!

I’m dealing with a bit of a difficult claim; I’m wondering instead of spending around $500-700 on a private nexus letter can I flat out ask my VA doctor for a nexus letter? Is that allowed? Is that common practice? Or is that going to get me flagged?

For example in my Medical Records my GI doctor wrote out “Veterans GERD is made significantly worse by his service connected PTSD”

Is it common practice if I went up to my GI doctor and asked him to write a medical opinion about my conditions?

Thank you!

DBQ Clarification Question

Hey guys! I am a SC Veteran for PTSD and I filed a secondary claim for GERD an Sleep Apnea

Back in April I had an ACE review exam through VES and they issued me a sleep test, I completed everything and even uploaded my VA sleep study and everyone agrees that I have Moderate OSA and a VA prescribed CPAP.

The provider also acknowledged that I am diagnosed with GERD as well, in fact my VA appointed GI doctor wrote in my medical file that "PTSD is likely the main driver"

Despite the two diagnosis's the CPAP machine and my medical record the VES provider still gave me a less than favorable DBQ.

Instead of the VA flat out denying my claim they have deferred it back to the same provider for clarification. This is now the fourth or fifth time the VA has gone back to this provider for clarification. I am at a loss, is this normal? Is this because the provider rushes through my file every time they get it on their desk?

I called VES and spoke with a manager and they told me they cannot reschedule me as the VA specifically is requesting her, my request for a phone call from the provider was also denied.

So I am at a bit of a loss for words here, five DBQ's later the provider is still not giving a clear answer for my claim how can I protect myself from this negative provider?

Step Five!

What’s up brothers and sisters! I find myself on step five (again) I am grateful that the VA is moving along with my claim, however I find myself running into an issue.

My ACE review exam for Sleep Apnea and GERD was unfavorable, not for any medical evidence but the provider was absolutely horrible

I understand the need for speed and curtness during these exams but my provider rushed everything would not allow me to advocate for myself

Worst of all the VA has had to go back to the same provider four times for clarification. So I unfortunately do not see myself getting a favorable outcome

If you have issues with your provider is it better to go out and get a private nexus?

Or is it better to do a HLR?

Also my claim is for GERD and Sleep Apnea secondary to PTSD which I am SC for

Also I have been diagnosed with GERD and Moderate OSA and have a VA prescribed CPAP machine

Thank you!

Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)

Hey folks!

Curious if anyone here has any experience with claiming FND currently I am filing for these specific symptoms

Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)

Mixed including functional motor symptoms (twitches/jerks)
dizziness, gait disturbance, cognitive symptoms, and functional dysphagia secondary to service-connected PTSD (Secondary)

I’m currently SC for PTSD and I’ve read that the VA might role my FND symptoms into my current rating

I personally believe that I suffer from physical symptoms from my PTSD apart from the mental aspect

What experience do you guys have with FND claims?

Thanks!

Hey guys I got a decision letter but most of my claim has been deferred.

I have moderate OSA with a CPAP machine I’m not sure why that got deferred

I have GERD with a strong nexus statement and medication prescribed by the VA not sure why that got deferred

The flat feet they scheduled me a C&P exam so I understand why that got deferred

What else can I do to speed these up?
