Do I really need these crowns?
Hi dentists of Reddit! I just moved to a new area and hadn’t really had the time to go to the dentist. It’s been maybe 2 years. I have been experiencing some aching pain on my right side. And a little sensitivity to chewing food. I thought I might have a cavity on the right side of my mouth. I went and got an exam at a new dental office but they say I need a crown on a tooth that has been chipped on my left side (that one I understand) and then a tooth above it. All of this work needs to be done on the left side though. I’m a bit confused because I have been mainly feeling pain in my right side, not my left. Is that normal? I can’t remember which tooth but it’s right above the one that has been cracked. I’m just worried about getting crowns I do not need. Please help!
Edit: I’ve heard about dentists creating future work and just want to make sure I’m not getting screwed over lol
