How to find motivation in a bad job market-no interviews?

Looking for a job since almost 2 years. I Only managed to get 3 interviews, and never moved to 2nd round. Two times it was in English and once in german. Surprisingly enough the one in German went well enough despite my limited language skills. Actually it seemed at the time that they went well. I have more than 7 years of academic (Postdoc) experience in biochemical research (LC-MS, HPLC, peptide synthesis, and lof of biochemical/biophysical experiments) and prior to that PhD from one of top universities. I know its not the best time to be looking for jobs in the sector. Based on my overqualification and long experience, I don’t fit well to smaller positions, and to apply for slightly senior roles, pharma companies want someone with industrial experience. I am already almost finished with 2 months of jobless period, which means I have just 10 more months to search and no hope insight. My whole life (including many important personal decisions) are hanging balance, just dependent on the fact of me finding my first industrial job. Last two days have been so hard on motivation. I come from a poor family somehow finished studies and thought that hard work will pay off. Now, I don’t even feel like I have anything in control. When I try to work on my German skills, I feel guilty not to be applying for jobs in the meanwhile and vice versa. I have permanent residence permit, and hence don’t really want to move out of the country after having spent so much energy and time integrating here. Any tips or helpful advice will be more than welcome. thanks

Never again Flixtrain

As the topic suggests I am way too much fed up with Flixtrain. I made a stupid decision of booking Flixtrain with only slightly cheaper option. Berlin to Halle. The train is 1,5 hrs delayed and at no point gave it exact time of departure, so I had to keep looking at the information board. It already shows that toilets are not functioning. Finally got in the train apparently the seat reservations are not valid anymore. And on top of that on this hot day its 35 degrees inside. To make the matters worse it smells like toilet. How is this model still functional? Isn't there a minimum standard they should be maintaining?
