Numb vagina and doctor’s not helping
I was prescribed duloxetine 30mg for vulvodynia which I started taking last week. I’ve had pretty intense side effects (dilated pupils, jaw clenching, dry mouth, feeling like I’m on stimulants) which have started to go away but I’ve noticed my vaginal canal feels completely numb/dead when I’m having sex. My vulvodynia wasn’t awful to begin with so I find this a lot worse than what I was taking the duloxetine to treat.
I couldn’t get an appointment with my dr who prescribed it so I had an appointment with another doctor who said he’d never heard of this side effect before and wasn’t able to advise on whether I should continue taking it or not. He also didn’t give me any advice on tapering off which I’ve read about online.
Has anyone had this side effect before? And did it go away?
