Hi! I am (f32) having a hard time realizing i chopped my hair a year ago just for me to fail again in keeping my hair hydrated.
I chopped it spring of 2025. I got braids and then Marley twists months apart. Wore my hair in an afro in between and tried to add hydrating products from Kinky curly, As I Am and Shea Moisture.
Now that it’s grown out more i am seeing how bad the breakage is..
I feel like i need a whole new set of products but i am not sure what i am doing wrong.
I am including photos of the chop and then recent photos of dried, wet, twists for the night, air dried..
I use a bonnet at night. Regular pillowcase. No trims since the chop.
I was washing once a week or every two weeks before that. Now i am washing every few days. I started clarifying once a month with Kinky Curly. I have a leave in conditioner from Alba Ramos (x whole foods) product.
If anyone can offer some encouragement or advice i would appreciate it. I am determined to have healthy hair and correct my haircare.
