Antipsychotics cured my HPPD

My HPPD of 5 years is gone. I take Abilify (aripiprazole) 15 mg. I still take it to prevent the symptoms from coming back.

It may have to do with Abilify being a third-generation antipsychotic. It blocks dopamine when it gets too high and stimulates it when it gets too low.

I also tried Seroquel (quetiapine) and Zyprexa (olanzapine) which are second-generation antipsychotics. They worked, but Abilify worked the best for me. Zero side effects too.

Don't believe that your HPPD isn't curable. I cured mine after 5 years!

New Trip Killer research paper recommends taking BOTH an antipsychotic AND a benzodiazepine to stop a trip

Their number one choice for antipsychotics is Risperdal (risperidone), followed by Zyprexa (olanzapine), and Seroquel (quetiapine).

It is significant that they recommend to take BOTH an antipsychotic and a benzodiazepine.

They recommend the antipsychotic to stop the trip's effects directly, and a benzodiazepine to provide anxiety relief. I didn't know that - I thought you only need a benzodiazepine.
