Hi all, I have lived in or within 15 min of midtown for over 10 years now with two medium/large dogs. I am starting to search for a place to buy (~$1mm range) -- I love the beach and think it would be great to be somewhere like Long Beach though from I can tell online, those beaches are not dog friendly? Any neighborhoods you would recommend to start looking at? The rockaways? Elsewhere on Long Island? Will admit I haven't left the Manhattan/close proximity bubble and want to start exploring and would love recommendations.

I'll add that I'm not in a rush but ideally would love easy beach access.

Is this possible? Am I asking for too much for <45min from midtown (work commute)?
