Outdoor Watches
I just bought the Instinct 3 Solar Tactical Edition because the Casio sensor I was using had stopped working, and the temperature, pressure, and altitude readings were all incorrect. If I switch to the “hidden mode,” will the Garmin watch only need to be charged once a year or every six months? The coastal area has plenty of sunlight.
However, I started to think: Do smart outdoor watches really need to include numerous health-related functions such as tracking exercise and sleep? I wonder if it would be better to completely remove these functions and focus solely on outdoor-related features. The watch’s GPS could serve as a backup option for navigation, or for lighter hiking activities. For more intensive hiking, I could use the Garmin H1, a more specialized smartwatch. There is indeed a market segment for such products, and there are consumers who would be interested in them
