A bit of exploration truly pays off

Well I was doing the Aetherium Forge quest and once everything was done I did some lava swimming like you do when I found 2 different gates with chests out in the lava lake for those who are mentally deranged so if you're doing this quest keep an eye out for these 2 little paths. Bring health potions................and LOTS of sunscreen.

Also the paths lead to an opening to the main area where you fight the Forgemaster so just drop back down and dont worry about having to practice your Backstroke to get back out.

Who is more powerful/wealthy?

So I personally think it'll be the Black-Briars but who in your opinion is more wealthy or powerful is it the Black-Briars of Riften or the Silver-Bloods of Markarth.

With the Black-Briars you have the Black-Briar Meadery, ties with the Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood and also ties back down south in Cyrodiil and essentially having the Jarl under Mavens control essentially just being a puppet.

But then you have the Silver-Bloods who practically own the Reach with the Silver-Blood Inn and Cidhna Mine being the largest source of silver in the whole of Skyrim and have private mercenaries overseeing operations of both Cidhna Mine and land acquisition as seen when first arriving in Karthwasten.

I'd say that the Black-Briars are more powerful whereas the Silver-Bloods are more wealthy but what does everyone else think???
