Thinking of buying a 2020 Škoda Superb iV (Plug-in Hybrid). Is it a risky purchase?
Hey everyone,
I’m looking to buy a used 2020 Škoda Superb iV (the 1.4 TSI plug-in hybrid).
I'm not a mechanic, so I’m a bit nervous about all the tech in a hybrid—especially buying one out of warranty.
The car has about 123,000 km on the clock.
I’ve done a bit of reading, and I know:
The DSG gearbox fluid needs to be changed every 60,000 km (I’ll definitely check the service book for this).
It’s important to test if the transition from electric to the petrol engine is smooth
Is this model generally reliable, or is it a money pit as it gets older ?
How is the hybrid battery holding up on 2020 models? Has anyone noticed a big loss in electric range?
Are there any hidden issues or red flags I should look/listen for when I go test drive it?
Any real-world advice or tips for a non-techy buyer would be awesome. Thanks!

Added the Magic Mouse to the mix and honestly... it's not that bad haha.
