I really can’t decide if I should just stop auvelity. Im almost to 2 months on Auvelity. I definitely notice that I’m not in a deep depression hole everyday but I also wouldn’t say that I am happy.
However, the sexual side effects and my urinary hesitancy is the hardest part to deal with in a daily basis.
I feel like I don’t see enough of a difference to keep going through the rough side effects but I am also scared to go back to that deep depression state if I stop auvelity.

I am a 27F with treatment resistant MDD, GAD, and ADHD. I’ve tried over 10 different antidepressants, as well as TMS (which helped for a period of time until it didn’t).

My psychiatrist recommended Auvelity and I started taking it about a week ago. I started with 1 pill a day and then on day 5, I increased to the 2 doses because that is what my psychiatrist told me to do. The biggest side effect for me is the spacey / head in the clouds / loopy feeling that is gives. It’s all consuming. Thankfully, I don’t have work this week but if I did, I would be worried about working while feeling this way. I don’t want to give up on Auvelity yet, so i’m praying these side effects go away soon.
Another side effect for me has been urinary hesitancy. Like I feel like I have to pee but it takes forever to start a stream. Has anyone else experienced this and has it gone away??
I haven’t noticed any improvements in mood or anything yet but i’m still holding out hope!!

I also take 30mg Adderall XR and I feel like the brain fog has masked the effects of the adderall the past few days because I can’t focus on anything other than how unfocused I am with my head in the clouds😭 I’m going to give it more time to adjust but hoping it ends soon!
