Backrooms are a clear allegory for AI
The Backrooms are an allegory tor generative AI. I know Kane dismissed something about the backrooms being an "AI simulation" but that isn't what Im talking about. I mean from an artistic standpoint theres multiple pieces of evidence that allude to the backrooms being representative of generative AI.
The backrooms copies a real life location repeatedly until everything displays a yellowish tint.
Clark, whose life is slowly deteriorating, uses the backrooms as a crutch and develops psychosis because of it.
It's pretty on the nose that the Still Life's are inspired by AI replications of humans.
The backrooms literally syphons power and raises Clarks electric bill.
Im sure theres more, but overall I think theres a lot of intention in displaying the backrooms this way.
