Supplements with Diverticulitis?

Hello, (m30)

I was diagnosed two months ago with a mild flare-up. After an ultrasound, the doctor found 2 diverticula.

I am still adapting and trying to find what I can and not eat and what causes me pain.

For example, I was fine until last week when I decided to go back to my supplements, when I got a 3/10 pain in the lower abdomen after taking creatine for 2 days straight.

This is my list of supplements; would you know or have experience saying that some are definitely a no-go?

(Besides creatine, which I probably won't take again ever, but is there any substitute for it?)

  • Collagen powder
  • Creatine Monohydrate
  • L-Theanine
  • A-Z Multivitamin
  • Lion's Mane Complex
  • Vitamin D3 / K2
  • Magnesium (taken at night)

Edit: I also take psyllium husk when I am not in pain, as instructed by my doctor.

Lost a 2mm flush-set stone in an 18k gold band — is this DIY-repairable or strictly a bench jeweler job?

Hey everyone,

The small stone in my 18k yellow gold ring fell out recently, and I’m looking for advice on whether this is something I can fix myself or if it strictly requires a professional.

  • Ring Details: 18k yellow gold (approx. 5.2g).
  • Setting: Flush / burnished (gypsy) setting with an open through-hole behind the seat.
  • Stone Size: Approx. 2.0 mm round faceted stone (looking to replace it with a 2mm lab stone / synthetic).

I’ve seen mixed opinions online about setting small stones. Can a 2mm round gem be securely pressed/burnished back in with basic hand tools, or does the seat always need to be recut with a setting burr? Also, is jewelry epoxy completely out of the question for a daily-wear ring with an open through-hole?

Appreciate any insight from bench jewelers or experienced makers before I decide whether to take it straight to a local goldsmith!

I wish other games would adapt HalfSword combat system

After playing Halfsword for almost a year, I’ve come to realize that the combat and physics systems in other games fall completely short.

Do you guys feel the same way?

I keep wondering what a game like Skyrim or Bannerlord would be like with Halfsword’s combat system—or even a Zelda game.

Would that be dreaming too big?

TRIBAN - Road Bike RC120 with baby trailer

Hello people,

I have a Triban RC 120 road bike with 28mm tires for asphalt.

I'd like to know if anyone has experience using this bike with a trailer for toddlers.

I know this bike model isn't ideal for a trailer for small children, but I can't afford to buy another bike right now.

The "tours" I’d take with my toddler wouldn’t be long distances.
