A hot take on u/ankhattak's roadmap and why keeping us "chasing the carrot" is working
I've been thinking about the overall strategy at US Mobile lately, and I wanted to see if anyone else feels the same way.
First off, let's be clear: US Mobile has amazing pricing, excellent customer service, and fantastic network options. But with the prepaid and MVNO competition getting tighter by the day, great service might not be enough on its own to keep people from wandering.
I honestly think u/ankhattak sharing the upcoming roadmap of planned projects is a brilliant tactical move. Without that roadmap constantly dangling a carrot out there for us to chase, I feel like US Mobile would actually be losing subscribers right now.
It keeps the community engaged and looking forward to what's next. Take for instance the "001 plan" announcement. There has been almost no news or mention of it since it was first dropped, but just the announcement itself likely brought in a wave of new subscribers who hopped on board hoping to take advantage of it when it goes live.
By constantly giving us a glimpse of the future, they keep us hooked and excited to stick around. What do you guys think? Is the constant hype and roadmap disclosures keeping you here, or are you just here for the current plans?
