[GHOSTS] [COD] A (technically) newgen's questions about safety
Hiya, firstly I'm sorry for the length of the post lol
edit: I’m using PC by the way. I don’t have the ability to use console or anything.
So I've been playing through all the COD campaigns over the past year starting from CoD4. As far as I understand, the campaigns are entirely safe as they don't require you to be explicitly online but nonetheless I've found myself extremely disappointed with Activision's terrible security as somebody who used to love playing Black Ops and Black Ops 2 multiplayer.
However, since as we speak I'm downloading Ghosts which was a game I used to be obsessed with, I have a few questions regarding specific safety of ghosts and the cod games in general:
- Is it safe to play Ghosts multiplayer if you only match with bots?
- In general, when does multiplayer start becoming safe to play?
- If I want to play multiplayer in any of the older games, are there any ways that I could protect my information, like maybe a program or something that's able to keep you secure while you play?
- This isn't really related to anything else in this post, but WHY ARE THE GAMES SO ******* BIG!?
Honestly, I adore Call of Duty and always have since I first played World At War when I was 6 years old in 2013 and couldn't really comprehend what was going on in the opening sequence, but the amount of research I'm needing to do in order to just get some kind of consistent information is ******* exhausting...
